The Accra Regional Police Command has launched a full-scale investigation into the death of 26-year-old Liberian national, Austin Tengeeh, following a violent incident at an apartment complex in Lashibi, near Sakumono.
Preliminary police findings indicate that the deceased had gone to visit his brother, accompanied by his girlfriend, when residents and members of the public allegedly attacked him after the apartment caretaker raised an alarm, accusing him of being a thief.
A Police patrol team responding swiftly to a distress call rescued the victim and rushed him to the Sakumono Community Hospital.

Tragically, he was pronounced dead on arrival by medical personnel.
His body has since been deposited at the Lashibi Funeral Home pending autopsy.
Police have arrested three suspects, Vincent Adzikah (38), Francis Amuzu (44), and William Addison (34), who are currently in custody assisting investigations.
A fourth suspect, Enoch Mensah, is on the run, and police say efforts are underway to arrest him. The suspects are expected to be arraigned before the court today, Monday, 2nd March 2026.
The Police have strongly condemned the act, warning the public that mob justice and unlawful assaults are criminal offences that undermine due process and the rule of law.
Authorities are urging residents to report suspected criminal activity to the Police and allow lawful procedures to take their course, stressing that no accusation justifies taking a human life.
