WAJESHA had the privilege of facilitating a professional development workshop for lecturers and researchers at the University for Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (USTED) on “Writing Research as News: Bridging Academia and Journalism.”

The workshop explored practical approaches to communicating research beyond academic publications by translating evidence into accurate, engaging, and impactful news stories. Participants also examined how stronger collaboration between academia and the media can increase the visibility and societal impact of research.

We are grateful to the management and lecturers of USTED for their active participation and commitment to strengthening research communication.
At WAJESHA, we remain committed to building the capacity of researchers and journalists to ensure that evidence reaches the public, informs policy, and contributes to sustainable development.
