The Obuasi Circuit Court has remanded nine suspects into police custody following a viral video showing an assault on police officers at Tweapease Senior High School Park in the Ashanti Region.
The suspects, Joshua Frimpong, also known as Joey B; Bannor Williams; Isaac Dwumfour, also known as Sporty; Evans Bannor, also known as Pressure King; Asiedu Ronald, also known as Case Close; Alex Sarfo, also known as Okele; Alex Yaw; Desmond Obidiaba; and Emmanuel Agyemang, were arraigned before the court on Thursday, 8th January 2026.
They have been charged with assault on public officers following an incident at the Tweapease Senior High School Park, where they allegedly attacked police officers who were on lawful duty at the location.
The court ordered that the suspects be remanded into police custody to assist ongoing investigations.
Police have cautioned the public that any attack on law enforcement officers will be treated as a serious offence, stressing that perpetrators will be traced, arrested, and held accountable for their actions.
