The Amasaman Circuit Court has sentenced two young men 28-year-old Lawrence Fumato (alias Rasta) and 20-year-old Daniel Dzoka (alias Alkaline) to 17 years imprisonment each for robbing two victims at Agbazo, near Golden Exotic Farm in Accra.

The robbery occurred on 12 November 2025, during which the convicts, wielding a pair of scissors, attacked the victims and made away with a Royal 150 motorbike, a Samsung mobile phone, a Tecno Spark 8, an itel keypad phone, and ¢4,000 in cash.
Police, acting on intelligence, arrested the suspects on 17 November 2025 at Agbazo. They were arraigned ten days later, on 27 November 2025, where they pleaded guilty to all charges — Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Robbery, contrary to Sections 23(1) and 149 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).

The court handed down a 17-year jail term each, with both sentences to run concurrently.
The Accra Regional Police Command has commended community members for their cooperation and is urging the public to continue assisting law enforcement by reporting criminal activities via 18555 or 191.
