Tragic School Bus Accident Leaves Nine Pupils Critically Injured at Twifu Praso

A tragic accident early Tuesday morning has left nine pupils in critical condition after their school bus overturned into a ditch at Twifu Praso in the Central Region.

The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. and involved twelve students from Royal Academy International School in the Twifo Atti Mokwa District.

Emergency services responded swiftly, transporting all the injured pupils to the Twifo Atti Mokwa District Hospital for urgent treatment. According to hospital staff, nine of the students remain in critical condition and are fighting for their lives.

The bus involved in the crash is a Sprinter with registration number GC-6356-11.

The Twifu Praso Police Service has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Meanwhile, authorities are urging families of the affected students to remain calm as medical teams work to stabilize the children.
