Floods rendered Cape Coast-Twifo PRASO road inaccessible following a devastating flood that has washed away part of the Jukwa bride at Dompoase.

The flood cut through the highway at one end of the bridge leaving all commuters stranded.
Some drivers are now making a detour through alternative routes to avoid danger and also reach their destination.

The Ghana highway authority has meanwhile said it is martialing emergency resources to attend to the challenge.
Motorists have been advised to use Assin Fosu road.

A release from the Ghana Highway Authority reads ‘the GHA kindly wishes to bring to the notice of the general public that a washout of bridge approaches at Jukwa has rendered the Cape Coast-Twifo Praso road inaccessible. The road has been cut off by the rains at Jukwa bridge.

Motorists travelling between Cape Coast and Twifo Praso are therefore advised to use Cape Coast – Yamoransa – Assin Fosu – Twifo Praso road as the Authority mobilizes to solve the problem as soon as possible. We apologize sincerely for any inconvenience caused.
Same applies to the Cape Coast-Tadi highway at the Dompoase end near Komenda Junction
