Controversial Ghanaian relationship counsellor Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, popularly known as Counsellor Lutterodt, has been arrested and detained by the Ghana Police Service over allegations of inciting violence.
According to police sources, the outspoken public figure was picked up for statements believed to violate provisions of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) and the Public Order Act, 1994 (Act 491).
Authorities say the arrest is linked to alleged incitement to violence as well as offensive conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act.

Police say investigations are currently underway as they gather evidence related to the alleged statements and their potential impact on public order.
The arrest of Counsellor Lutterodt, known for his controversial commentary on relationships and social issues, has already sparked reactions across social media and public discourse.
The Ghana Police Service says the suspect remains in custody as investigations continue, and further updates will be provided in due course.
