The Ghana Police Service has mounted a major show of force in the Ayawaso East Constituency as part of intensified security preparations ahead of the upcoming by-election.

The operation, which featured a route march through key streets of Ayawaso East Constituency, brought together heavily deployed officers drawn from various police units. Armed and visibly present, the personnel moved through the area in a coordinated exercise aimed at asserting control and readiness.

Police say the exercise is intended to reassure residents, discourage any attempts to disrupt the electoral process, and signal zero tolerance for violence or lawlessness before, during, and after the polls.

The Service has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and protecting voters, candidates, electoral officials, and the general public, stressing that it is fully prepared to respond swiftly to any security threat as election day approaches.
