The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, together with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), has received the Chairman and members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Election Committee at the Police Headquarters in Accra.

During the visit, the Committee Chairman, Joseph Osei Owusu, formally expressed the party’s appreciation to the Ghana Police Service for its pivotal role in ensuring a peaceful and orderly presidential primary election.

Osei Owusu commended the Police for the comprehensive security arrangements and the professional conduct of officers across the country before, during, and after the primaries. He noted that the visible police presence, effective coordination, and neutral posture of personnel significantly contributed to maintaining calm and boosting public confidence throughout the electoral process.

In response, the Inspector-General of Police thanked the delegation for the visit and the recognition. He reaffirmed the Police Service’s commitment to its constitutional mandate of protecting lives and property, and to supporting democratic processes through dedicated, disciplined, and professional policing.
