The Accra Regional Police Command has launched investigations into a suspected murder at the Chinese area near the Tuba Tollbooth on September 10, 2025, which claimed the life of 26-year-old Mabel Asantewaa.
Preliminary reports indicate that Mabel was allegedly stabbed in the neck by her fiancé, Samuel, 35, in her room. After the act, the suspect is said to have attempted suicide by ingesting a poisonous substance. He was found unconscious and rushed to the Kasoa Polyclinic, where he remains in stable condition under medical care.
Police officers secured the crime scene, where Mabel’s body was discovered lying in a pool of blood. The Crime Scene Management Team has since been deployed to support ongoing investigations.
The Accra Regional Police Command has urged the public to remain calm, assuring that updates will be provided as inquiries progress.
