The Ghana Police Service says it has arrested three suspects in connection with a series of armed robbery cases recorded in Buipe, Tamale and Mion in the Northern Region.
The suspects, Yacouba Oumar, Abdul Alhassan Kudus and Abdul Rahman Haruna alias Saaga, were arrested by the Northern Regional Police Intelligence Directorate following intelligence-led operations.
According to the Police, the suspects are part of a gang believed to have operated with two AK-47 assault rifles and a pump-action gun along the Fumbisi-Yagaba road.
The Police also allege that the gang sold stolen motorbikes to contacts in Tamale and Savelugu.
Investigators further link the three suspects to the robbery and killing of a mobile money vendor at Fofulso, near the Damango Junction, earlier in 2026.
The three suspects are currently in Police custody, assisting with investigations.
The Police say efforts are ongoing to arrest other suspected accomplices and recover the firearms allegedly used by the gang.
