The Ghana Police Service has arrested a man identified as Osei Kwame, popularly known as “Nsafufoo,” for unlawfully possessing and wearing a police uniform without authorization.
The suspect was picked up at Antoakrom in the Manso Nkwanta District of the Ashanti Region after a viral video surfaced showing him appearing intoxicated while dressed in full police uniform.
Police say the unauthorized use of official uniforms constitutes a criminal offense under Ghanaian law. The suspect is currently in custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
The Ghana Police Service has urged the public to refrain from impersonating law enforcement personnel, warning that such acts undermine public trust and will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
