The Savannah Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the alleged lynching of a young man at Daboya in the North Gonja District of the Savannah Region.
The suspects, Adjei Abdulai, 25, a carpenter, and Issah Mahama, 22, a student, were arrested following investigations into the incident, which was captured in a video that has since circulated on social media.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim, identified as Yibonwura, was allegedly attacked and severely assaulted after being accused of stealing shea nuts.
He later died from injuries sustained during the alleged assault.
The two suspects are currently in Police custody assisting with investigations, while a manhunt has been launched for a third suspect who remains at large.

Police say investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure that all persons found to be connected to the alleged crime are brought to justice.
