Accra, June 24, 2025 – The President of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), [Name], has announced his intention to step down from his position, citing personal reasons.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the outgoing president described the decision as “difficult” but necessary, especially for himself and some executive board members “with integrity and dignity at this crucial time.”
His resignation will take effect on Friday, June 27, 2025, following an official press conference to be held at 10:00 AM at the GBA Secretariat, where he will formally address the media and the public.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I have been given as GBA President,” he noted. “I value the insights and experiences I’ve gained, and I expect them to guide me in my future endeavors.”
The outgoing president said the decision was made after careful reflection on his personal aspirations and career path.
He expressed deep appreciation to members of the media for their support during his tenure—particularly those who stood by him and his board members during what he described as “periods of character assassination.”

“To all compatriots across the country who supported my professional journey in this voluntary, unsalaried role, I say thank you. It has been an honor to serve.”
Members of the media are respectfully invited to Friday’s press conference for first-hand information on the resignation and related developments.
