Police Service Warns Public Against Fake Recruitment Scam

1 Min Read

The Ghana Police Service has issued a strong warning to the public regarding false information circulating on various social media platforms about an alleged ongoing recruitment exercise.

In a statement, the Police Administration categorically denied announcing any new recruitment drive, stating that the information is entirely false and misleading.

“The Service has not commenced any recruitment process,” the statement emphasized. “Any official recruitment will be communicated through our established and verified channels, including the Ghana Police Service website, official social media handles, and national newspapers.”

The public is therefore advised to disregard such fraudulent claims and avoid engaging with individuals or groups who offer police recruitment opportunities in exchange for money.

The Ghana Police Service further assured the public that it is actively investigating the sources of these scams. Any person found culpable will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

Citizens are encouraged to report suspected fraudsters or recruitment scams to the nearest police station or through official communication channels.
