The Acting Chief Justice has taken a significant step to streamline the court’s operations by instructing registrars of Superior Courts to bring cases to his attention for empanelling and fixing of dates.

This move is expected to enhance the efficiency of the judicial system and ensure that cases are handled in a timely manner.

Through a memo issued by the Deputy Judicial Secretary, registrars have been directed to submit cases to the Acting Chief Justice for his attention.

This will enable him to oversee the empaneling process and ensure that cases are assigned to judges in a fair and transparent manner.

The memo is a clear indication of the Acting Chief Justice’s commitment to improving the administration of justice in the country.

The memo issued and signed by Deyputy Judicial Secretary, Dr. Cyracus B Bapuuroh on April 23, 2025 stated that, “I have been directed by the Acting Honourable Chief Justice to inform you that all newly filed cases and applications must be brought to his attention for assignments of Courts/empanelling of judges where there are more than one court and for the fixing of dates for hearing.

“Take note that this directive supersedes all previous directives until further notice.
Please accept the compliments of the Acting Chief Justice,” Deputy Judicial Secretary, Dr. Cyracus B Bapuuroh stated.
