The 2026 Apostolic Visitation of the Assemblies of God, Ghana officially commenced at Cedar Mountain Chapel in East Legon, bringing together pastors, their spouses, retired ministers, and widows of pastors from the Greater Accra East Region.
The opening session was led by the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam, who conducted an intensive three-and-a-half-hour prayer session focused on thanksgiving, repentance, rededication, intercession, and national concerns.

Special prayers were also offered for the upcoming Assemblies of God World Congress scheduled to take place in Accra this October, as well as for the growth of the Church and the needs of individual members.
The host Regional Superintendent, Rev. Andrews Nelson Awintia, expressed gratitude to Rev. Wengam and his wife, Monica Wengam, for their leadership and continued commitment to the welfare of ministers and their families.

As part of the event, Mrs. Monica Wengam donated cloth and cash to widows, retired ministers, and their spouses. Pastors’ wives also received cloth gifts, while pastors were presented with various items in appreciation of their service to the Church.

In his exhortation, Rev. Wengam urged ministers to remain faithful and diligent in their calling, cautioning against grumbling, anxiety, and attitudes that undermine peace and effectiveness in ministry.

A highlight of the visitation was the renewal of marriage vows by ministers and their spouses. Rev. Wengam led the ceremony, encouraging couples to remain committed to the covenant of marriage and uphold their vows throughout their lives in accordance with God’s design.

The Apostolic Visitation forms part of the Church’s annual efforts to strengthen ministers spiritually, promote fellowship, and renew commitment to ministry and family life.
