The Upper East Regional Police Command says it has re-arrested a 20-year-old suspected armed robber, Muntari Munumi, and recovered an M16 A2 assault rifle, ammunition and spent shells at Sapeliga.
According to the police, preliminary investigations indicate that two victims, whose names have been withheld, were returning home from Bazua after work when they were attacked at Sapeliga Junction, Kobore.

The suspect allegedly robbed them of a Royal motorbike, three mobile phones and GH¢1,820 in cash.
The victims reportedly struggled with the suspect and managed to seize the weapon after he fired several shots but missed his target.
They subsequently alerted the Googo Neighbourhood Watch Committee, whose members mobilised, arrested the suspect and handed him over to the police along with the rifle.
Police said the recovered weapon was an M16 A2 assault rifle, with three live rounds of ammunition and five spent cartridge shells.
The suspect reportedly disclosed the identities of his alleged accomplices and the source of the weapon, and agreed to lead officers to help arrest them.
However, while being escorted to assist with the operation, he reportedly complained of dizziness and suddenly collapsed. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
His body has been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The police say efforts are underway to arrest his alleged accomplices and bring them to justice.
The Regional Police Command has commended the victims, the Googo Neighbourhood Watch Committee and the Chief of Sapeliga for their support.
