Jasikan Police arrest man, 23, over the alleged alleged of his father at Likpe Abrani, Oti Region.

The Jasikan District Police have arrested a 23-year-old suspect, Innocent Owusu, in connection with the murder of his father, Peter Owusu, aged 59, at Likpe Abrani in the Oti Region.

The incident occurred on December 30, 2025, at the family’s residence. After allegedly committing the act, the suspect fled the community but was later arrested at his hideout in a forest around Abrani following intelligence-led police operations.

Police have since recovered the decapitated body and head of the deceased. The remains have been deposited at the Hohoe Government Hospital Morgue for preservation and autopsy.

Innocent Owusu is currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations.

The Oti Regional Police Command has commended residents of Likpe Abrani for their swift cooperation and support, which led to the arrest of the suspect. The Command has also extended the condolences of the Police Administration to the bereaved family during this period of grief.
