IGP Engages Okada Riders On Road Safety

Inspector-General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno has engaged the leadership of the Okada Riders Association of Ghana to strengthen collaboration and address concerns affecting their operations.

The IGP urged riders to prioritise road safety by ensuring members are properly trained, licensed and comply with road traffic regulations.

He also called on the association to register and identify its members, and regularly educate them on responsible riding to help reduce road crashes.

The President of the Okada Riders Association, Michael Kofi Owusu, expressed the group’s readiness to work with the Police to improve their operations, promote safety and support efforts to reduce crime.

The IGP assured the riders that the Police Administration will continue engaging the association to address their concerns and strengthen cooperation.
