Led by President Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, a professional NFL athlete and proud Ghanaian, the federation seeks to establish a strong foundation for the sport and expand its reach across all 16 regions of the country.

As the governing body for American football in Ghana, the GFAF has laid out a strategic and sustainable roadmap to grow the sport nationally and empower the next generation of athletes.

Key Objectives of GFAF:

  1. Nationwide Introduction and Infrastructure Development:
Roll out American football across all 16 regions by developing infrastructure and facilities to support grassroots talent development.
  2. Youth Development Through Schools:
Supply development kits to schools and integrate American football into inter-school competitions and youth sporting programs.
  3. Establishment of a National League:
Launch a competitive national league that promotes structured gameplay, sportsmanship, and community engagement.

The federation is dedicated to elevating Ghana’s sporting profile on the global stage and creating opportunities for young athletes through the discipline and excitement of American football.

The official incorporation of GFAF signals a new era for Ghana’s sports landscape, and with the backing of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, American football is set to thrive as a dynamic addition to the country’s growing sports culture.
