Let’s slow down
It’s important we all slow down on this alleged doping as a result of intake of a ban substance.
Information available has it that Ghana as requested for another test on our young boxer Shakul Samed to verify the earlier medical decision on him.
I believe that this situation exposed Ghana for ill preparation and lack of proper medical team attached to team Ghana.
Ahead of such international games, qualified countries are expected to conduct their medical checks on their athletes and officials before they travel to the games venue to avoid some of this avoidable embarrassment.
Intake of common banku or any other drinks (ataya and all) can lead an athletes from Ghana to this precarious situation.
I will like to entreat my colleagues Journalists to slow down on the unsubstantiated story and wait till the second test is conducted.
Ghanaian Athletes had poor preparation without going through the needed process of such an important games.
Shakul’s inability to report at the weigh-in must not be misconstrued.
