Adwoa Sarah Safo Removed as Gender Minister

The president, Nana Akufo Addo, has terminated the appointment of Adwoa Sarah Safo as minister for Gender, Children and social Protection Minister with immediate effect.

A release signed by Director of Communications at the office of the President, Eugene Arhin, noted that the president acted in accordance with article 81 (a) of the Constitution, the President of the Republic of Ghana.

Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, has been in the news for sometime now due to her absence from parliament for more than 42 seating.

The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, according to the release will continue to act as caretaker Minister for the Gender Ministry until a new appointment is made by the President for a substantive Minister.
