The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested six suspects linked to two separate armed robbery attacks on warehouses in Kpone and Tema Community One, leading to the recovery of hundreds of stolen bags of fertiliser and rice.
The suspects, Akala Kudus, Shaibu Dauda, Abdul Rahman Moro, Giya Hudu, Razak Scidu, and Francis Ayinsabga, were arrested following intelligence-led operations and sustained investigations by the police.

According to the police, the first incident occurred on May 25, 2026, when a gang of armed men attacked a security guard at a fertiliser warehouse in Kpone and made away with 751 bags of 50-kilogram organic fertiliser valued at GHS 431,825.
In a separate robbery on June 14, 2026, another group allegedly overpowered security guards at Mummy’s Recipe Warehouse in Tema Community One and stole about 2,000 bags of Aaba Rice and other food products.

Police investigations subsequently traced the stolen goods to warehouses within the Tema enclave and identified individuals believed to be connected to the two robberies.
A coordinated operation conducted on June 16 led to the arrest of the six suspects and the recovery of a substantial portion of the stolen items.

Police recovered 717 bags of Aaba Rice linked to the Tema Community One robbery and 600 bags of fertiliser stolen from the Kpone warehouse. The recovered items have been secured as exhibits.
The suspects remain in police custody assisting with investigations, while efforts continue to apprehend other accomplices and recover the remaining stolen goods.
The Tema Regional Police Command has urged businesses and the public to strengthen security measures around their premises and promptly report suspicious activities to help prevent crime and protect lives and property.
Police say investigations are ongoing.
