The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects in connection with the disappearance of an Accra-based couple, Dr. Jesse Amuah and Mrs. Elizabeth Esi Amuah, who have not been seen for over a month.
According to police, the arrests were made following weeks of investigations led by the Missing Persons Unit into the mysterious disappearance of the couple.
Couple Missing Since March
Police say a formal complaint was lodged on April 22, 2026, indicating that the couple had not been seen or heard from since March 23, 2026, at their residence in Accra.
The complainant reported that the couple’s house was found locked, while their Nissan Sunny vehicle with registration number GX 159-X was missing from the premises.
Repeated attempts to contact the couple reportedly proved unsuccessful, raising fears about their safety.

Special Police Team Deployed
Following the report, a special investigative team made up of officers from the Missing Persons Unit, Anti-Armed Robbery Unit, and Crime Scene Management Team was assembled to handle the case.
Investigators visited the couple’s residence and pursued multiple leads, which eventually led to the arrest of two suspects, whose identities have been withheld for investigative reasons.
Police say the suspects are currently in custody and are assisting with ongoing investigations.
Search Still Ongoing
Authorities say efforts to locate the missing couple remain ongoing, with investigators working around the clock to determine their whereabouts and uncover the circumstances surrounding their disappearance.
The Ghana Police Service is urging members of the public who may have credible information about the couple’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station immediately.
Police say updates will be provided as investigations progress.
