The Ghana Police Service has on Friday, November 28, 2025, taken delivery of a new fleet of operational vehicles as part of efforts to strengthen law enforcement and enhance rapid response capabilities across the country.

According to the Service, the arrival of the vehicles comes at a crucial time, as police personnel continue to tackle rising demands for visibility, emergency response, and the swift deployment of officers to crime-prone areas.
The vehicles, comprising patrol pickups, intervention vans, and specialised units, are expected to be distributed across regional and divisional commands to support crime prevention, intelligence operations, and frontline policing.

Police management says the investment aligns with ongoing reforms aimed at improving operational readiness, officer mobility, and community safety, particularly ahead of the busy festive season, when criminal activity typically increases.
The vehicles will also support the newly expanded cyber, intelligence, and anti-robbery task forces, enabling faster coordination during field operations and joint security deployments.

The Ghana Police Service emphasised that the logistics upgrade reflects the institution’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, improving police-public collaboration, and ensuring a more professional and responsive policing experience for all.
More details on the allocation and operational rollout of the vehicles are expected in the coming days.
