The Sakumono District Police Command in Accra has arrested three suspects, Abubakar Mohammed (28), Eric Asare (23), and Felix Darko (48), in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the Celebrity Golf Club area in Sakumono on October 18, 2025.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspects, who falsely posed as National Security operatives, stormed a construction site belonging to an executive member of the Golf Club and unlawfully discharged firearms, causing damage to parts of the property.
Police intelligence further indicates that the attack may be linked to an ongoing land dispute involving some factions within the Nungua Traditional Council.
All three suspects are currently in custody, assisting with ongoing investigations.
The Accra Regional Police Command has cautioned individuals and groups to refrain from acts of lawlessness, especially in land-related disputes, and assured the public that anyone found culpable will face the full rigours of the law.
