As a speaker of Parliament, I hold the balance but sometimes bend backwards to get the business of the executive done- Speaker

NDC members are said to be saboteurs of government business even though they overlook things to get government businesses done in the absence of NPP MPs- Speaker

Per the constitution, happenings in parliament cannot be subject to litigation at the courts- Speaker

Parliamentarians who are supposed to be loyal to Parliament instead of the SC always run to the court at the least opportunity- Speaker

The Judiciary is supportive of this conduct of MPs by receiving these suits

Both the President and the Judiciary have sinned against the constitution and must repent- Speaker

I believe in the Supremacy of the Constitution and not the Supremacy of the Judiciary- Speaker

The matter before the SC can be settled within Parliament through matured deliberations and compromises- Speaker

Parliament owes its duty to the people and no person will be allowed to disrupt Parliamentary proceedings- Speaker

I respectfully call on the SC to apply the same swiftness to the human sexual rights and family values bill case as it has the vacant seats saga- Speaker

I have instructed the clerk of Parliament to resubmit the anti-LGBTQI+ bill to the President for his assent- Speaker

Ghanaians are now more spectators than citizens contrary to what the President called for Speaker

The Courts are ignorant to issues of procedures in Parliament- Speaker

The current brouhaha may be likened to a power play between two arms of government with the potential to subvert the constitution- Alban Bagbin

I am committed to leaving Parliament a stronger institution than I met it – Alban Bagbin
