We will Never Handover Power to the NDC, No Matter the Election Outcome, Bryan Acheampong Promises Dr. Bawumia

The Member of Parliament for the Abetifi constituency, Bryan Acheampong, has reiterated that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will not relinquish power to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), regardless of the results of the upcoming general election. Before making this statement, he instructed the media present at the event to record his comments.

Bryan Acheampong is also known for his involvement in the violent incident that occurred in Ayawaso West Wagon, where he allegedly ordered NPP’s Invisible Forces to attack NDC members during a by-election in the constituency.

He made this statement while addressing NPP supporters gathered in Kwahu, Eastern Region, for a health outreach program dubbed “It Is Possible.”

Last year, during a similar address to NPP supporters, Bryan Acheampong made the same declaration. Many believe that this would have been an opportune moment for him to outline his plans and initiatives for his constituents as their MP, but instead, he chose to boast and make ill statements that some well-meaning Ghanaians believe could incite violence in the upcoming election.

As is customary for the NPP, Acheampong’s remarks were made in public, in the presence of high-profile NPP members including Vice President and NPP Flagbearer Dr. Bawumia, Kwabena Agyepong, John Kodua, and Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, among others.

His comments have sparked widespread condemnation on social media platforms, with some calling for a retraction.

In response on social media, some supporters have vowed to resist any attempt to undermine the will of the Ghanaian people.
