The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man at the Asankrangwa Education Area on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
Preliminary investigations suggest the incident followed a dispute between the deceased and one of the suspects, identified as Kwasi Opong. Police say a group, including the suspects, chased the victim and allegedly stabbed him multiple times, leading to his death.
A swift police operation led to the arrest of Kwasi Opong, 36, and William Francis Osei, 23, who are currently in custody assisting with investigations. Another suspect remains on the run, and efforts are underway to apprehend him.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Asankrangwa Catholic Hospital Morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The Western Central Regional Police Command has assured the public that all individuals involved in the crime will be brought to justice and has appealed to residents with relevant information to contact the nearest police station.
