Police Investigate Discovery of Body Wrapped in Sacks at Teshie

Police have launched investigations after the body of an unidentified person was found wrapped in two sacks and dumped in a drainage gutter at Teshie Nungua Estate in Accra.

The grim discovery was made early Saturday morning in the Busy Mouth area, sparking fear and concern among residents. Community members who noticed the stitched sacks in the gutter said they grew suspicious after perceiving a strong stench emanating from the area. On closer inspection, they suspected the sacks contained a human body and promptly alerted the police.

Officers from the area command responded to the scene and retrieved the sacks from the gutter. The body was subsequently conveyed to the mortuary for preservation and further examination.

Police say the identity of the deceased is yet to be established, and the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear. Investigations are ongoing to determine how the body ended up in the drainage gutter and to identify those responsible.

Authorities have appealed to the public for information that could assist with the investigation.
