Police Appeal for Public Assistance in Identifying two Unclaimed Bodies

The Ghana Police Service is appealing to the general public for assistance in identifying two male individuals found deceased under separate circumstances in Accra.

Incident at Abelenkpe:
On 23rd May 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m., a male adult, believed to be in his forties, was found dead in the Abelenkpe area. The deceased had no form of identification on him.

He is described as dark in complexion, approximately 6 feet 4 inches tall, with black hair and a shaved beard. At the time he was found, he was wearing a red T-shirt with black and white designs, khaki trousers, pink boxer shorts, and white socks. Preliminary information suggests he may have been a taxi driver.

The Accra Regional Police Command is urging anyone with information that could help identify the deceased to contact the Kotobabi Police Station or call 0264162980 / 0244992201.

Incident at Mallam:
Separately, the Odorkor Divisional Command of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) reports that on 13th April 2025 at around 12:10 a.m., a male adult pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle at Mallam, near the overpass.

The deceased, believed to be in his early fifties, is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and dark in complexion. He was wearing a black and white top with black trousers at the time of the incident. He was rushed to the Police Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. His body has since been deposited at the Police Hospital mortuary for preservation, identification, and autopsy.

Relatives or individuals with information that could help identify the deceased are urged to contact the Unit Commander at the Odorkor Divisional MTTD or call 0554318753 / 0243333086.

The Ghana Police Service assures the public of continued efforts to investigate both cases and urges full cooperation from the public to help reunite the deceased with their families.
