DCOP Kwesi Ofori Retires

A pull-out and farewell ceremony was held for the Director General of the Public Affairs Directorate, DCOP Kwesi Ofori, on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the National Police Training School. He retired from active public service effective the day of the ceremony.

DCOP Kwesi Ofori was very vocal during his service, speaking on many significant issues and cases that have sparked public controversies and generated a lot of voices. DCOP Ofori served 34 years in the GPS and rose through the ranks to become a DCOP.
Before his retirement, he served in other capacities, including the District Police Commander of Tafo Pankrono in the Ashanti Region, Adabraka Divisional Police Command, Accra, and at the VVIP Unit of the Jubilee House and the Head of Operations at the Accra Regional Police Command.

The Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare and members of the Police Management Board graced the occasion.
