The Agbogbomefia of the Asorgli state, Togbe Afede xiv, has hit back at critics who say he was not active as a Council of State member.
In an exclusive interview with Joynews the former president of the national house of chiefs condemned what he described as a deliberate attempt by people who should know better to discredit him.
He also described as unlawful, parliamentarians who return to parliament yet collect ex-gratia for their previous term as mp.
Togbe Afede xiv also agreed partially with those who think that the council of state role should be scrapped on the ground that it is not being run effectively.
