The Biakoye district health directorate have stepped up efforts to get the people vaccinated against covid-19.
The renewed efforts at Nkonya Tayi, follows the new threat of the virus spread as a result of the surge in cases from china.
Nkonya Tayi with a population of about 600 was chosen by the Biakoye district health directorate to begin its community engagement for the COVID vaccine.
Very few people had availed themselves for the original and the booster doses during the vaccination campaign.
some have also declined taking the booster after the first dose.
With the increasing threat of a surge of COVID 19, the Biakoye district health directorate has decided to take the fight to the people beginning from Tayi.
