Fight Night 10 of the Ghana Professional Boxing League delivered an explosive showcase of skill and power, with several boxers achieving knockout victories.
In a thrilling match, Daniel Gosh demonstrated his prowess, overpowering the experienced George Krampah and concluding their bout within a round.
The event featured seven intense bouts, with all fourteen gyms participating across various weight categories.
The evening commenced with a bantamweight clash between Emmanuel Mawuli of Charles Quartet Boxing Foundation and Aaron Tetteh of Seconds Out Gym. Mawuli showcased a vintage performance, securing a second-round stoppage against Tetteh.
Former Black Bombers captain Sulemanu Tetteh, competing under the Ghana Prison banner, marked his debut with another impressive second-round stoppage, defeating Samuel Lartey of Wisdom Gym. Both fighters were making their professional debut.
The spotlight shifted to the main event, as Daniel Gosh entered the ring to defend his unbeaten record of 8 wins. Facing the experienced George Krampah, the two fighters displayed exceptional skills. While Krampah fought valiantly, it was the younger Gosh who emerged victorious after the first round.
Krampah’s attempt at redemption in the second round was met with two knockdowns, ultimately leading to his defeat. A well-placed left hook to the body secured Gosh’s victory at 2 minutes and 5 seconds into the round.
The welterweight contest between John Amable of See View and Among Quarshie of Patton Quarshie Gym showcased exceptional artistry throughout six rounds. Despite Mini leading in most of the rounds, the declaration of the result was postponed, leaving the audience perplexed.
A super lightweight contest introduced debutant Bernard Abbey of Panix Gym against Ernest Amoah of Akotoku Academy. Abbey’s impressive boxing artistry captivated enthusiasts, including football administrator Neil Armstrong Motagbe, who decided to manage him.
In the penultimate bout, Abdul Rasheed Tagoe of Bridge Foundation faced Ishmail Ankrah in a welterweight clash. Tagoe swiftly ended the bout in the opening round with a knockdown just two minutes into the match.
The Ghana Armed Forces confronted Black Panthers Gym in the final match, a super welterweight battle featuring Philip Quartey and Robert Bruce. The unanimous decision went in favor of Quartey, securing victory for the military.
The night concluded with victories for Charles Quartey Boxing Foundation, Ghana Prison, Bronx Gym, Panix Gym, The Bridge Foundation, and Ghana Armed Forces. Meanwhile, Seconds Out Gym, Wisdom, Fit Square, Akotoku Academy, Palm Spring, and Black Panthers Gym are left with lessons to learn for Fight Night 11.
Among the triumphs, four came through knockout victories, while the remaining three bouts that went the distance were marked by one result deferred due to controversial circumstances.
