The Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation, is calling for funding to help train local coaches to advance the sports.

The Akotoku academy is one of the pioneer boxing gyms in Accra.
Founded by Attuquaye Clottey in the early 1970s, the gym was credited for laying the foundation and producing some of Ghana’s top and best boxers of all time, dk poison, Azumah Nelson, Alfred Cobra Kotei and Ike Bazooka Quartey among others.
however, little is being said about the once famous Akotoku academy today.
the gym still trains in the open with inadequate training kits.
in a bid to help improve the situation, raj pal company limited responded to recent appeals with some training kits.

He called for corporate support to increase the benefits of the sport as the country stands to gain a lot from the fisticuffs game with the appropriate support.
