There was an explosion at the police headquarters Thursday morning.
The explosion occurred in the national patrol department close to the police fitness centre
Sources close to paqmediagh.com say proactive action by some officers on duty coupled with the swift response from the Ghana national fire service helped to contain the resulting fire from causing more damage.
There was no immediate reported casualty or injury as a result of the explosion and fire which burnt through the roof of the national operation headquarters block.
