At the Accra Zoo, a male intruder who scaled the fence into the cattery was killed by a lion.

The deceased, who was thought to be in his mid-thirties, apparently killed himself by climbing the 20-foot fence on the keepers’ blind side.

Zookeepers on a routine job patrol of the Accra Zoo about noon on Sunday, August 28, spotted a man being held tightly by the male lion.

According to reports, the invader was attacked after climbing the 20-foot high-security gates into the cattery.

Before the zoo keepers arrived, he was immobile while being held by the male lion.

He was determined to have died from his injuries by the Achimota police after the zookeepers successfully herded the lions into a safe area.

According to the authorities, the dead was only identified by onions fashioned into a talisman and worn around his waist.

John Allotey, the chief executive of the forestry commission, called the situation odd and urged the people to be cautious and adhere to the law.

Benito Owusu Bio, the deputy minister for lands and natural resources, was concerned about the situation when he visited the Accra zoo.

When he was never an attendant performing any official duties, he questioned why someone would ever consider scaling into the cattery.

Since the police have started their inquiries into the occurrence, the deceased’s body has been transported to the police hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

Although the intruder’s motivation remains a mystery, rumors of a failed cub theft attempt are rampant.

There are two lions, a male and a female, in the Accra Zoo, and this year they had two cubs.

The social media rumor that the lion in the Accra zoo has escaped and is harming life has been refuted by the forestry commission.

The Accra Zoo, which is exceedingly safe, secure, and protected, is home to all four animals.

According to preliminary findings, the dead was not a regular visitor to the Accra Zoo.
