A Ghanaian based outside the country is in the grips of the Oyibi district police for attempted ritual murder.
The man whose name was given as Evans Oppong, allegedly took his biological daughter from school to herbalist (spiritualist) to be sacrificed in order that he becomes rich.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Friday June 3, uniformed and plain clothed policemen were seen arresting the man, wrapped in calico.
Evans Oppong has reportedly gone for his 11-year-old daughter from school under the pretext of taking her for shopping but sent her to the spiritualist.
The voice of an obviously angry spiritualist was heard narrating the story to the police and took them to see the dirl who was taken out of school to his place.
This man brought his own biological daughter to me for money rituals.
He promised me 10,000 cedis and other good surprises after the rituals.
I was crying within me because I have sympathy for humans and animals, I don’t kill people, sometimes I don’t even eat my own poultry because I grow so much love for them.
The sad thing is, he even picked the daughter from school during school hours with an intention of buying him a new dress.
This man is a bad man with many evil intentions.

On Friday, the police released official statement announcing the arrest of Evans Oppong, whom they described as a businessman.

the suspect is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
the police statement signed by the director of director of police public affairs, chief superintendent grace ansah-akrofi commended the informant and urged other citizens to emulate him to help improve crime fighting.
