Police Restore Calm Manhunt Suspects after Violent Machete Fight in Akyem Oda

The Eastern South Regional Police Command has restored calm in Akyem Oda following a violent clash involving a group of young men at the New Station Area.

The incident, captured in a viral video, showed the individuals wielding machetes and attacking one another in broad daylight.

Police say officers quickly moved to the scene after receiving reports of the disturbance.

Two suspects were later traced to separate health facilities receiving treatment for severe injuries.

Thirty-year-old George Okyere was found at the Oda Jubilee Hospital with a deep cut on his forehead and a chopped-off finger.

Suspect Paul Pascal on the other hand, was receiving treatment at the Akyem Oda Government Hospital for a deep cut on his right hand.

Another suspect, Evans Adayele, has since been arrested from his hideout to assist with investigations.

Police say efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining suspects involved in the violence.
