A viral video showing the alleged assault of a woman in Cape Coast has led to the swift arrest of a 40-year-old man by the Central Regional Police Command.
The suspect, Samuel Bills Acquah, is accused of assaulting a 30-year-old woman, believed to be the mother of his child, at Bakano in Cape Coast.
Police say they received a report of the incident on March 27 at about 9:30 p.m. and immediately moved to the scene, where the suspect was arrested.
He is currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.
Authorities have confirmed that the suspect will be arraigned before the court on Monday, March 30, 2026.
The police have assured the public of their commitment to ensuring justice, especially in cases of violence captured and circulated on social media.
