The Ghana Police Service has arrested a woman captured in a viral video physically assaulting a man, following swift action by the IGP’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team.
The arrest was carried out on Thursday, 27th November 2025.
According to police sources, the prime suspect, Esther Nana Afia Sarfowaa, was arrested at Subriso in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency of the Ashanti Region. A second suspect, Stephen Ofori, was picked up at Nkawie, also in the Ashanti Region, for his role in the incident.
Both individuals are currently in police custody.
The Police say efforts are underway to track down and apprehend three additional suspects who are currently on the run.
The Service reiterated its commitment to ensuring accountability and protecting public safety, assuring the public that all perpetrators involved will be brought to justice.
