At a media briefing in Accra, the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, announced the promotion of twelve officers for their exceptional contributions.
Three Chief Inspectors have been elevated to the Police Academy to join the next officer cadet corps, while another three move up from the ranks of Inspector to Chief Inspectors.
Two sergeants were also promoted to Inspectors, while a Corporal rose to Sergeant.
In a rare recognition of youthful dedication, three constables with less than a year in the service were promoted to Lance Corporals for their diligence and sacrifice during the multi-regional operation that spanned several months.
The IGP emphasised that rewarding excellence remains key to strengthening morale and deepening public confidence in the Police Service.
