A former Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) First Vice President, Rabbon Dodoo, has called for a reset in Ghanaian boxing to achieve better results.

The former boxer and aide to ex-President Jerry John Rawlings believes it is time for the sport to reignite its true passion and reach new heights.

He highlighted the importance of the newly created Ministry of Sports and Recreation, emphasizing its role in promoting mass participation in sports and fostering a healthy lifestyle among Ghanaians.

Dodoo expressed his willingness to collaborate with the Minister to implement strategic reforms that will strengthen Ghanaian boxing.

Having resigned from the current GBA board led by Abraham Kotei Neequaye, Dodoo now feels better positioned to lead the Authority.

With growing support from boxers and coaches, his candidacy has added excitement to the upcoming GBA elections.

Other contenders include Dr. Henry Manly-Spain, Ivan Bruce Cudjoe, Nii Gonti Adjor I (Nii Adama Addy), Emmanuel Addo, Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, and the incumbent, Abraham Neequaye.
