
The Ghana Police Service has secured the conviction of David Kwodwo Prah Afful, popularly known as Kwame Nkrumah II, who was arrested on 13th September 2025 for inciting violence against public officials and government workers.

He was arraigned before Circuit Court 8 in Accra, presided over by Amoah Hagan, on two counts: Threat of Death and Offensive Conduct Conducive to the Breach of the Peace.

Afful pleaded not guilty to the charge of Threat of Death but guilty to Offensive Conduct. On his own plea, the court convicted him and sentenced him to seven months’ imprisonment with hard labour. The case on the Threat of Death charge has been adjourned to 15th October 2025.

The convict is currently being processed for transfer to the Nsawam Medium Security Prison to serve his sentence.
