Supt. Effia Tenge Resigns from Ghana Police Service

The Director of Public Affairs at the Volta Regional Police command, Superintendent Effia Tenge has bid farewell to the Ghana police service and policing.

Her resignation comes as a surprise and shock to many who knew her closely and admired her work and professionalism as a police officer.

In a social media post on monitored from the official Volta regional police public affairs WhatsApp platform, Superintendent Effia Tenge expressed her appreciation to all and sundry who supported her throughout the 18 years she served in the Ghana Police Service.

During the 18 years as a police officer, Superintendent Effia Tenge, rise through the ranks, holding various positions.

Superintendent Effia Tenge is well-known and admired by many for her exceptional work ethic during her service as the Accra Regional police Public Relations Officer.

She was later transferred to the Volta Region as the Public Relations Officer soon after Dr George Akufo Dampare resumed the mantle as the Inspector General of Police in 2022.

She has a Master of Arts degree (MA) in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Accra, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Administration from the Methodist University College, Accra as well as a Diploma in Communication Studies from Ghana Institute of Journalism.

Superintendent Effia Tenge retired, also holds she holds an MA in Conflict, Peace, and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center (KAIPTC), Accra.

Prior to her appointment as the Accra regional police Public Affairs Director, superintendent Effia Tenge was head of the Media Monitoring Desk at the National Police Headquarters where she supervised and analyzed media contents of reports on Policing.

Good morning all, hope we are all fine? Please this is to inform you that I have formally exited from the Ghana Police Service after 18 years of active service. Permit me to use this medium to thank you all, l mean everyone of you, for your immeasurable support during my appointment as Public Affairs Officer of this noble profession. We will definitely meet again hopefully in a different working environment. Once again thank you very much.
