President John Dramani Mahama has issued a clear and uncompromising warning to criminal elements across the country, declaring that no part of Ghana is beyond the reach of the state.
Speaking on Thursday at the commissioning of 100 pick-up trucks for the Ghana Police Service, President Mahama said the new vehicles significantly strengthen the state’s capacity to confront crime, dismantle organised criminal networks, and restore public confidence in law enforcement.

“Criminal elements must know that the state has both the capacity and the will to act,” the President stated, adding that law-abiding citizens must feel protected, not threatened.
According to him, the vehicles will directly support routine patrols, highway operations, community policing, and coordinated actions against organised crime, including highway robberies, illegal mining, and cross-border criminal activities.

President Mahama stressed that security is not reactive alone but preventative, noting that improved mobility would allow the police to respond faster and extend their presence to hard-to-reach and previously underserved areas.
“No community will be abandoned,” he said. “Peace remains the foundation of development, and without security, progress cannot be sustained.”

The President reminded the nation that the commissioning follows the earlier handover of 40 armoured vehicles in December 2025, reinforcing his administration’s pledge to consistently invest in national security.
He concluded by reaffirming the government’s resolve to confront insecurity decisively, warning criminals that Ghana’s streets, highways, and communities will no longer offer safe haven for lawlessness.
