The Accra Regional Police Command has launched an investigation into a viral social media video showing an individual obstructing police officers in the lawful execution of their duties.
In addition to the obstruction, the same individual, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, is seen in another video issuing direct threats against the Ghana Police Service. These actions are not only criminal under Ghanaian law but also undermine police authority and threaten public order.

The Command strongly condemns these acts of interference and threats, emphasizing that such behavior has no place in a law-abiding society. Obstructing a police officer in the line of duty and issuing threats against public officials or institutions are both serious criminal offences.

Efforts are currently underway to identify and apprehend the suspect for prosecution. The individual involved is urged to report to the nearest police station to assist with investigations.
The public is reminded to refrain from obstructing law enforcement officers and to seek redress for grievances through appropriate legal channels.

The Accra Regional Police Command remains committed to ensuring public safety and the rule of law. Citizens with information that may support the ongoing investigation are encouraged to report to the nearest police station or contact the Police on emergency numbers 18555 or 112.
