The Ashanti Regional Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has launched an investigation into the mysterious death of a 20-year-old Senegalese national, Cheith Toure, whose body has been deposited at the Ebenezer Mortuary at Tafo in Kumasi.
Preliminary information gathered by the police indicates that the deceased was sent to the mortuary by an individual identified only as Issah, who claimed to be the brother of the deceased.

Further enquiries at the Manhyia Government Hospital revealed that on October 16, 2025, the same Issah brought the victim to the facility in critical condition, reportedly with severe abdominal injuries. Issah allegedly told hospital authorities that the young man had been involved in an accident. However, medical records indicate that Cheith Toure was brought in dead.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command says it is working tirelessly to uncover the full circumstances surrounding Toure’s death and to ensure justice is served.
Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the Regional CID, Kumasi, or reach the police via 18555, 191, 112, or the investigating officer directly on 0248483741.
